Kenneth C. White lives in Georgetown, Delaware. He studied TV Production at Saint Petersburg
Jr College, St Petersburg, Florida.1962 -1964. He returned home to Lindenhurst and went on
to be employed at Grumman Aircraft, Bethpage, NY as an Assistant Film Editor and Assistant
Cameraman in their motion picture department.
Ken was drafted into the United States Army in July 1965 during the Vietnam War. He went to
boot camp, Fort Jackson, South Carolina. After boot camp his knowledge of motion picture film
helped him get assigned to the Army Pictorial Center (APC), Long Island City, NY., (this was the
old Paramount Studios).
While in the Army, he was fortunate to be able learn his craft, even more, hands on university
(APC) of being a Motion Picture Cameraman learning from the best civilian Cinematographer,
and Directors.
While he was stationed at the APC he used the Army to the fullest. He loved this film making
experience, traveled through out the United States, filming various film documentaries in Alaska,
Panama, and Vietnam.
While in Vietnam Ken did a documentary with, John Wayne, (Why the US was in Vietnam, for,
“The Big Picture Series”.)
He grew to love what he was doing, being a Motion Picture Cameraman.
After serving his two years he was discharged at Fort Hamilton, NY., July of 1967.
Ken continued on working as a film maker and becoming an award winning Cinematographer,
filming Aerials, Commercials, TV Specials and Documentaries for Discovery.
